LeAnn Rimes Has A Crazy Beauty Routine

by Jessica Thomas

If I had to guess, I would bet LeAnn Rimes' beauty routine is a little bit high maintenance. After all, the country superstar is spotted working out almost every day, even when she's on vacation. She clearly puts stock in her appearance and well-being.

Turns out, she has an even crazier beauty routine than I expected. She pops 40 vitamins and pills a day to feel her best, has an in-home spray tan machine, and slathers on lotion like it's her job. LeAnn opened up to Into The Gloss in an interview about her beauty routine, and I have to say, I'm impressed with her commitment.

"I’m a big vitamin person," she said in the article. "I take like 20 pills in the morning and 20 at night—fish oil, prenatal vitamins, probiotics, biotin...I have an herbalist I work with who has put me on a bunch of different things. I’m very strict about making sure I take them."

Beyond vitamins, Rimes deals with some serious skin issues. She has had psoriasis nearly her entire life. The skin disease causes scaly and red patches, and LeAnn's was so bad she often had to wear two or three pairs of pantyhose if she wanted to wear a dress.

"When they say beauty is way more than skin deep, it’s hard for people who have psoriasis to wrap their minds around that," she said. "I’ve had it under control for about 10 years, so it’s been this liberating thing for me to be able to wear shorts and a bikini. People make so much fun of me and my bikinis, but I would walk around naked if I could because I was one big scab at one point!"

The condition leaves the country superstar's skin dry and tight, so she slathers on three different lotions after every shower or swim. Her favorites are Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream, Clarins Extra-Firming Body Cream for her thighs and James Read Tan Accelerator for when she indulges in a spray tan, which is more often than you'd think.

"My assistant, Kiki, and I love to spray tan so much, so we finally bought a machine and started to spray each other," she said. "The machine is like $500, so we save so much money. We do it once or twice a week. It’s like a car wash."

The 32-year-old singer's overall commitment to wellness and looking her best is inspiring, especially considering the tough time she's had in the past. Her realness is even more inspiring.

"Working out, taking care of myself, and knowing that I’m doing the best things for myself and putting healthy things into my body makes me feel beautiful—even on the days when I feel like crap," she said.
