Michelle Obama Stuns In Custom Vera Wang

by Augusta Statz

There’s no denying that we have one heck of a classy First Lady, especially not after you see her latest look. Michelle Obama wore custom Vera Wang to the China State Dinner and looked absolutely stunning. The black mermaid gown hugged her figure and was just breathtaking. She posted a photo to give us a glimpse into the evening, and I think we were supposed to be impressed by the room’s decor, but all I could look at was her dress and those beautiful side-swept curls.

She was definitely all sorts of style goals, between that gown and the way she so perfectly accessorized it. She didn’t go over the top with the jewelry, because custom Vera Wang speaks for itself. She also kept the makeup minimal and simply swept her hair over to one side, nailing it the way only a superbly fashionable First Lady could.

The tulle straps that dropped below her shoulders were a nice touch, and I’m sure they kept her from pulling at the otherwise strapless dress all night. Because she obviously understands and knows how to stylishly avoid these kinds of problems. Head to toe, she completely ruled in this look. It’s by far my favorite look of hers because it was just the perfect dress for such an elegant lady.

Forget about Barack Obama for a second, Vera Wang and FLOTUS make quite the duo!

She looks absolutely gorgeous.

Her simple hair and jewels are just the right touch.

So, yeah, the room is great, whatever. Let's just stare at her some more.

So. Much. Class.

Such a beauty, isn't she?
