Janet Jackson's Husband Is Super Sweet To Her

by Jaclyn Anglis

Janet Jackson usually keeps her love life on the down low. But, much like her bold music performances, when she brings her romance into the spotlight, she has everyone talking. The legendary pop star had all eyes on her when she made a rare public appearance with Jackson's husband Wissam Al Mana during Paris Fashion Week at the Hermes 2016 Spring/Summer show. Considering the couple is not often spotted together, it probably piqued some curiosity from other attendees, and later, people who caught glimpse of the photos. Some fans and followers might be wondering who this guy is.

To put it simply: Wissam Al Mana is a Qatari billionaire. The 40-year-old businessman is quite private, so not much is known about his personal life or his previous relationships before he got hitched to Jackson. But what is known about him is his heavy involvement in his family business over in the Middle East. He runs the family empire Al Mana Retail alongside his two brothers, and their fashion business represents some pretty ritzy brands like Armani, Balenciaga, and Cavalli. He even took the initiative to open up a flagship A/X Exchange store in a Qatar shopping mall.

He said in an interview with VMAN magazine that much of his work involves overseeing new developments and working on interesting design-related projects. He also said that he was involved in several charities and art projects. Not too shabby! And of course, aside from being known as a successful fashion businessman, he is also well known as being a very devoted partner to Jackson. In the rare moments that the couple has opened up to the public, he has shown that he has been as sweet as can be.

In May of this year, Al Mana decided to throw Jackson a little surprise party for her 49th birthday, according to Us Weekly. What she thought was a simple sushi dinner date night out with her hubby turned out to be an unforgettable night at Los Angeles's Hyde Lounge with 30 of her closest friends and family members. According to the mag, Jackson was gifted with not one, but two, delicious cakes, and the whole crew reportedly partied until 1:30 a.m. Talk about a grand gesture.

But even when the two are spotted just walking about town, like they were earlier this year at an Armani 40th anniversary celebration dinner as reported by People, they are almost always hand-in-hand and extra cozy. Clearly, Al Mana has no problem letting the world know about where his dedication lies.

Back in 2010, when the lovebirds had just started dating, Al Mana opened up about his lady love in an interview with VMAN magazine. "She is a very special and talented woman who never ceases to amaze me," he said. Amen, dude.

Is it really any wonder that Jackson dedicated her major comeback single "No Sleeep" to Al Mana? Ahead of Jackson's upcoming world tour, it is exciting to keep in mind that her love life has been flourishing in the midst of her latest career moves. Hopefully fans will get a chance to catch more glimpses at the man who makes Ms. Jackson smile along the way.
