How To Style A Pastel Faux Fur Coat

by Lindsey Rose Black

There are certain winter wardrobe pieces that absolutely demand attention, and a pastel faux fur coat is definitely one of them. If you've swooned for one but have no idea how to style a pastel fur coat, don't even worry. It's easier than you think, and pastels are surprisingly versatile!

I've never been one to actively and immediately seek out a trend, but when pastel faux fur coats started popping up in magazine spreads and on runways this fall, I knew that was one look I was for sure going to want to rock in Manhattan this winter. Luckily there are tons of amazing thrift shops where I live in Brooklyn, and I ended up totally scoring this amazing baby blue coat that didn't totally break my budget. When I brought it home, though, I kind of had a "how the heck do I actually wear this?" moment.

Fortunately, the confusion didn't last long. The best part of not always knowing how to style a piece is that it forces you to experiment and create new looks. You might be shocked with what you're able to come up with when a little creativity is required. The style suggestions below have worked best for me, but you should just consider them a launching point.
