Ali From 'PLL' Is Engaged, You Guys

While the Pretty Little Liars world is still dealing with the fact that we have a face to put to the name of Hanna Marin's not-Caleb fiancé when Season 6B rolls around, there is some good news to be had outside of the universe of near-death experiences and psycho stalkers named A. Pretty Little Liars actress Sasha Pieterse is engaged, which she announced on her Instagram on Tuesday in the most adorable way possible. Pieterse's longtime boyfriend, Hudson Sheaffer, proposed to her in a moment that was captured by photographers Jonnie + Garrett, and both members of the couple were thrilled to share this news with the world. Sorry, Hanna and Jordan, but there's a new engaged couple in the Pretty Little Liars universe, and more people aren't conflicted about trying to 'ship it.

The caption on Pieterse's Instagram photo read, "The best day of my life. Thank you @jonnieandgarrett for capturing the moment," while Sheaffer's read, "She said yes!!! Thank you @jonnieandgarrett for our amazing photos!" The first one depicts the couple in black and white, wrapped in each other's arms and smiling at each other like nothing else exists for them in the world but each other and this moment. The second one depicts the couple in full color, with Sheaffer down on bended knee while Pieterse's hair obscures her face — which is probably for the best as it's probably streaked with tears at the moment. Look at these photos and try not to weep.

Sheaffer and Pieterse have been dating for over a year now, and, despite the seven year age difference between them, have been pretty much the most adorable couple you could actually imagine. Thus, it comes as no surprise that there are wedding bells in the couple's future. Just looking through their Instagram reveals a lot of love and a lot of joy, so this engagement was a long time in coming. Just as Ali is the only member of the Pretty Little Liars who has her life together, with a job and husband that she feels fulfilled by, so too is Sasha Pieterse a vibrant young career woman with an equally vibrant social life.

If life was going to imitate life, I'm glad it was something positive like this and not, you know, the near-death experiences and the psycho stalkers named A. As for when the wedding will be, I suppose PLL fans will just have to wait and see.
