Khloe Avoids Genetic Testing On 'KUWTK'

by Nicole Pomarico

If you had the chance to know if you may be hit by a life altering disease in the future, would you want to find out? That's exactly the question being tackled on Keeping Up With the Kardashians this week. Since Kris Jenner's mom, Mary Jo Shannon, has battled cancer, she wants to find out if any of her daughters could possibly be predisposed to the disease... and that means a few blood tests are in order. On Sunday night, Kris tried to convince her entire family to do genetic testing, but with one problem — Khloe totally wasn't into it.

It was pretty easy at first, because Kris decided to have the testing done while everyone was in one place, doing a gothic-themed photo shoot. The doc came to them, and just needed blood or saliva to get the results they were looking for. Unfortunately, though, Khloe wasn't as willing to participate, especially since she's had scares with skin cancer in the past. It didn't make her want to be proactive about avoiding the disease; in fact, she didn't want to live in fear of getting cancer again in the future.

"Fact: I'm going to die," she told Kris. "You're going to die. We're all going to die."

Well, she's not wrong.

Eventually, though, Khloe did decide to go through with it. Her grandma, MJ, thought it was important for her to do it because she didn't want Khloe to have to suffer from the same disease she did. And as for the results? The entire family tested negatively for BRCA, the gene that makes people more likely to have breast cancer. That doesn't mean they'll never get it, but the chances are lower. Good news all around — and by the smile on Khloe's face, it looks like she's glad she decided to take the tests anyway.

Was that a sigh of relief I just heard from around the world? Good news, everybody: The Kardashians are here to stay. What would we do without them?!
