A Peek Inside Victoria Beckham's Eyewear Factory

by Eliza Florendo

Here's a tried and true fact to always remember: Victoria Beckham is the queen of chic. She's always impeccably styled, has the face of an angel, and has got her poses down. This video inside Victoria Beckham's eyewear factory shows precisely how my favorite Spice Girl's eyewear gets made, and the video itself is almost as beautiful as the sunnies they produce.

First — let's start off by acknowledging that she has an eyewear collection in the first place. And let me tell you, they're so painfully cool, it almost hurts. I mean, what would you expect from the woman who practically ingrained in my mind that yes, black in fact is the best color. Of course, she's worn other colors. Like white. But perhaps my favorite look of hers was a plaid skirt and white top combo at a Proenza Schouler show in 2007 that just goes to show you that Beckham can pretty much pull anything off.

So it's no surprise that when it comes to designing a pair of eyewear, she absolutely nails it. They're chic, they're feminine, and they're timeless. On her website, she describes them as "iconic yet wearable," and I have to say, I agree. From aviators, to super round frames, to some major cat eyes, Beckham's collection has a little something for everyone.

According to Who What Wear, her beautiful factory is located in Italy, in a small town called Valdobbiadene. The video, running at a little over one minute and 10 seconds, shows the gorgeous town, and some of the steps that go into building her gorgeous frames.

I mean, yeah, I'm trying to be there right now. Italy, you mind if I pay a visit?

Even the inside of the factory is equally as beautiful. There's something so fascinating about watching these machines make a pristine pair of sunglasses.

Just think of owning all of those pairs...

Here, a close up of a single pair of frames being made. So cool, right? To watch the full process, check out the video below.

I just watched the video like, 16 times in a row, just for the music itself. This whole video is pretty genius — it gives us an inside look into exactly how each pair of eyewear is made. And to me, it's nice knowing how the process works. It makes me feel closer to the brand, rather than just picking up a pair of random sunglasses in a shop, with no knowledge of where it came from or how it was made.

And if you're so inclined, shop her eyewear collection here on her website. But with so many cute options, it might be hard to pick just one.
