Taylor Really Got Into Her Grammys Performance

by Christine DiStasio

Earlier this week Taylor Swift asked us, via her Instagram, which song she should play at the 2014 Grammy Awards — well, it looks like she chose "All Too Well" off of her latest album, Red. And dare we say it — we actually didn't hate it. Swift took the simple and classic route that most performers have taken so far tonight, just her and a piano and some epic feels, basically proving that the Grammys put serious restrictions on its performers following that epic faux pas that was Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs. But it almost makes us feel like we've got "Teardrops On My Guitar" Taylor back.

The "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer floated onto the stage in a dreamy gown with even dreamier Charlie's Angels-esque hair and a spray tan that, unfortunately, we couldn't ignore. And it was just her, some back up singers, her piano, and nothingness — which was actually pretty great because her amazing hair-flips were able to take center stage. Good for you with your sass, girlfriend. We might've been a little more impressed with the simplicity if she shed a tear, but we can't deny that we like TayTay a little more than we did before that performance.

The singer, who's won seven Grammys already, received four nominations this year for her latest ex-boyfriend-bashing and Ed Sheeran-featuring album, Red, and her work on "Highway Don't Care" with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban.

We couldn't hate on this performance if we tried — especially after seeing Swift's adorable parents cheering their girl on from the audience. S'CUTE.
