16 Must-Have Super Bowl Dessert Recipes

by Corinne Caputo

Desserts usually serve one of two functions: they either console, or they help celebrate. And football fans usually need one of those two things when the game is over — which is where these Super Bowl dessert recipes come in. Did your team lose? Here’s a scoop of ice cream and a slice of pie. Did you win by a landslide? Here, eat this chocolate cake and have a cookie. Doesn’t that make you feel better? The 16 recipes below are so good, it won’t matter if you win or lose because you’ll have chocolate, or cookies, or pie, or all of the above.

Baking might seem like too much on Super Bowl Sunday, and of course it is much easier to just buy a dozen doughnuts, but let me remind you that the game doesn’t start until 6:30 p.m., so you have the entire day to whip up one (or many) sweet treats for your party. And also, if any NFL players are reading this, baking can soothe those game day jitters. Also, why are you reading this? Go practice football or something.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy your Super Bowl, and more importantly, enjoy these delicious Super Bowl dessert ideas.
