UberPuppies Will Brighten Your Work Day This Week

by Michelle Regalado

Last year, Uber brightened up the hearts of employees everywhere by delivering adoptable kittens to offices all over the world in celebration of National Cat Day. Now this year, all of the dog people out there are getting their shot at receiving an adorable work delivery. That's right — on Wednesday, Feb. 3, Uber will deliver puppies as it partners with the Animal Planet Puppy Bowl to deliver adoptable pets to offices in 10 cities, including New York and Los Angeles. What better way to beat that mid-week slump than with UberPuppies?

According to Entrenepeur.com, Uber will conduct its special puppy delivery from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Uber users in Atlanta, Baltimore, Cleveland, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Seattle can just open the app and request a "puppies" visit in essentially the same way they'd order a cab. A 15-minute visit will cost $30 — a small price to pay for the joy of a mid-day puppy snuggle sesh, right? The best part is that the money goes towards a donation to pet welfare organization Bideawee. Animal Planet will also be matching each donation, so it's pretty much a win-win for everybody involved.

UberPuppies has already proven to be widely successful in the past. In addition to giving employees everywhere a much-needed work break, Uber helped place more than 100 dogs in homes with last year's Puppy Bowl event. With the event gaining popularity in offices around the world, we can only hope it'll do even better this year. In the meantime, you might want to stock your desk with some puppy treats.
