Even Amy Schumer Has To Worry About Chafing

by Augusta Statz

There’s no denying that red carpet events are glamorous affairs, but sometimes the before and after moments beyond that gorgeous red carpet photo aren't what you’d imagine them to be. Yes, face masking and letting someone do your hair and makeup sounds relaxing, but it can actually be downright stressful. Amy Schumer shared her trick to avoid thigh chafing when she got very real about her process for getting ready for the Met Gala. And thank goodness she did, because this trick will come in handy for many a summer soiree, red carpet status or no.

Schumer posted a video of her rubbing Secret deodorant in between her thighs before ever hitting the red carpet because chafing is a real bummer. But, it’s nice to know that even celebrities have to consider these kinds of problems, too. Take it from Schumer, it’s not just glitz and glamor all of the time.

She’s not the first person to open up about the struggle of getting all dressed up, and she certainly won’t be the last. For every beautiful moment, there are tons of mishaps along the way. That’s just how it goes, and I so admire the A-listers who are able to get real about their issues/concerns before heading to a major event. Because whether a celeb is willing to admit it or not, the struggle is real. For all of us.

And...the crucial final step.
