How To Do Your Makeup Like The Ladies Of 'GoT'

While the show has always featured strong female characters, the sixth season of HBO's Game Of Thrones has particularly felt like it's all about women. Sort of spoiler alert: We've got Daenerys Targaryen burning down the temples of patriarchal societies, Sansa Stark and Brienne of Tarth leading the way to the Wall, and Margaery Tyrell definitely being manipulative as heck over in King's Landing while Cersei Lannister continues to run stuff despite her previous public humiliation. Then there's also Arya learning how to be some sort of faceless warrior, and the Sand Snakes seizing control of the massive country of Dorne. Yeah. It's a good season to be a chick.

While we can't all go around wielding swords in support of the Stark siblings, we can pay a little tribute on the daily to the ladies of Westeros by recreating their makeup. Despite (or maybe because of?) all the drama that happens on the show, Daenerys, Sansa, and Tyene Sand keep their cosmetics pretty low key. That makes them perfect characters to channel for an everyday beauty look, so Bustle teamed up with makeup try-on app YouCam Makeup and Make Up For Ever's Director of Education and Artistry Lijha Stewart to create a step by step tutorial inspired by each character. If you want to see test the looks before you give them a go on your face IRL, you can download the YouCam Makeup app.
