Plus-Size Brand Eloquii Gets Revived

by Erin Mayer

Plus-size fashion is having a pretty exciting moment. Clothes for full-figure ladies are looking better than ever, plus-size models are being more readily accepted by mainstream media, British Plus-Size Fashion Weekend looked like a killer good time. We should be pumped about the direction of full-figure fashion, even more so now that ELOQUII is being revived.

ELOQUII originally launched under The Limited in 2011. The Limited shuttered the plus-size label in the spring of 2013 due to corporate restructuring, much to the dismay of its enthusiastic fan base. Bloggers and other fashion influencers took to social media to voice their support for ELOQUII and its fresh take on fashion for women size 14 and above. Now, the brand has relaunched under independent ownership.

According to a press release, members of the original team left The Limited in order to help revive ELOQUII as an e-commerce site. Creative director Jodi Arnold describes her vision for ELOQUII:

We want consumers to see ELOQUII as their go-to destination for style inspiration. Most designer, contemporary, and fast-fashion brands do not offer our size range, and what IS offered is missing the mark in our opinion. Our girl knows all the emerging trends, she just wants them to be executed tastefully, in her size and more importantly, readily available.

What's more, these clothes are cool. A glance at the products currently available reveals color-blocked bodycon dresses, a sexy leather fit and flare blouse, studded leggings, and plenty of other pieces that could easily carry you from day to night. Sizes go fro 14-24, and you'll find prices of $18-198, which is happy news. Welcome back, ELOQUII!
