'Bach' Star Derek Responds To Jim Halpert Memes

Fans of The Bachelor franchise usually have their favorite contestants chosen from day one. They pick Bachelor and Bachelorette front-runners based on their sense of humor, sweet dispositions, zest for adventure, and/or dreamy good looks. But, this season on The Bachelorette, one man is standing out as a fan favorite for a surprising reason — because he, Bachelorette contestant Derek looks like Jim Halpert from The Office. And, all the talk even has Derek responding to the John Krasinski memes. And, well, it turns out Derek thinks he looks more like Harry Potter.

That’s right, the internet is going crazy for a reality star who looks like the most husband-material television character of all time. There have been memes and tweets from fans all comparing Derek to Jim. Honestly, the resemblance is pretty uncanny. It’s also understandable that people are freaking out, considering John Krasinski’s sheer level of handsomeness. His IMDB page biography even calls out his attractiveness. It states: “Tall, handsome American film and television star John Krasinski.” True story.

Pam and Jim’s relationship brought fans so much joy that romantics who love The Office and The Bachelorette can’t help but draw similarities between Pam and Jim and JoJo and Derek. And, considering Pam and Jim's relationship worked out so well, maybe that bodes well for Derek winning JoJo's heart.

While it would be easy to let these compliments go to your head, Derek has insisted that he doesn’t see it and even joked about all of the attention on social media — which is so Jim of him, right? He humorously posted a different photo on Instagram of who he actually thinks that he looks like: Harry Potter. This adorable childhood picture makes me even more #TeamDerek.

Derek also posted another photo on Instagram, a side-by-side of himself and Krasinski, slyly captioning the photo, “I just don't see it...” with a grinning emoji.

The real question here is does JoJo see it? Does she find Derek as handsome as the rest of us do? Could he be the Jim to her Pam? I guess we’ll just have to keep watching and see how this televised love story unfolds.
