Jeffree Star Summer '16 Liquid Lippies Are Coming

From Anastasia Beverly Hills and Kylie Cosmetics to Kat Von D and Stila, it's clear that liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now, and one of the most popular amongst the bunch are Jeffree Star's velour liquid lippies. Now, the makeup artist and YouTube star has expanded his highly-coveted collection with a bunch of new shades. We already know when the new lipsticks will be available for purchase, so the next question would be about how long you can shop them. If you've been wondering, are Jeffree Star's Summer 2016 Velour Liquid Lipsticks limited edition? Here is what you need to know.

After teasing their release on social media for months, Star finally announced the launch on Instagram over this Fourth of July weekend. Along with the color names and availability date, the beauty guru also flaunted swatches of the new shades, and they are so gorgeous. The five new hues include Nude Beach, a peachy nude, Watermelon Soda, a bright coral, (714), a bubblegum pink, Virginity, a pale lavender, and Queen Bee, a vibrant yellow. The colorful styles are so perfect for the season, they practically scream summer. So are they limited edition or will they be a permanent addition to the collection?

Sadly, these five summer lippies are indeed limited edition.

Jeffree Star clearly specifies this in his social media posts about the capsule collection, as well as in the reveal video on YouTube.

As a way to differentiate from the existing line, the brand has created special yellow caps for the five limited edition shades.
