Photos Of Lea T You Need To See

by Rosie Narasaki

The more details that emerge, the more exciting the Rio Games Opening Ceremony becomes: Brazilian-born transgender model Lea T will be featured in the show. She's a trailblazing and iconic face in the fashion world, and there are a ton of Lea T photoshoots and ad campaigns you need to see. Over the years, she's nabbed many cherry modeling gigs, from walking in the Givenchy couture shows (something she's done since 2010), to gracing the cover of Elle Brasil. Suffice it to say, she's a very in-demand model, and it'll be exciting to see her taking on the Opening Ceremony, alongside Gisele Bündchen (who will reportedly be paying homage to "The Girl from Ipanema"!).

In addition to Lea's manifold modeling talents, it's exciting to see LGBTQIA+ representation at the Olympics — she's the first transgender woman to ever host an Olympics ceremony, and she told the BBC that that definitely plays into her performance. As she explained, "We are all human beings and we are part of society. My role at the ceremony will help send this message."

Any way you cut it, it's quite exciting — so to celebrate, let's take a look at some of Lea T's best covers and ad campaigns from over the years!

United Colors of Benetton

Not wearing a dress correctly has never been so chic.

Elle Brasil

It doesn't get much more fabulous than this.

LOVE Magazine

The whole high-fashion bleached eyebrow thing is tough to pull off, but Lea makes the look sing.

Grazia France

Lea stunned on the cover of Grazia France last year.

Givenchy

As a long-time model for Givenchy, Lea has worn many fabulous looks over the years — and this mega-fringed lacy number might just be one of her best.

S Moda

Imperious eyebrow game strong.

Redken

Lea recently nabbed a campaign for Redken, and with her gorgeous hair, it's not hard to tell why. I mean, seriously:

Right?

Alberta Ferretti

This bridal shoot she did for Alberta Ferretti last month might just be her most beautiful look yet. I can't wait to keep my eye on her in the future, too.
