The 'Will & Grace' Reunion May Have Been Political

by Emily Lackey

You may or may not know this, but a little Will & Grace reunion happened over the weekend, and, ever since it did, people have been scratching their heads over what exactly it was all for. Was it just a meetup of old friends? Was it a get together for publicity reasons? Was it a coming together to make new episodes of the show? Well this tricky riddle may finally be solved, because it looks like Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes all got together over the weekend for political reasons. At least that is what the new Will & Grace teaser to come of their reunion seems to suggest.

On Monday, Messing posted a teaser to Twitter that might explain why these four got back together in the first place. It’s been over 10 years since the beloved NBC show went off the air in 2006, but this might be the perfect reason for the four stars to come back together again. The teaser trailer contains a message that not only spells out “Will & Grace Is Back” (if you put together the words in red on the screen), but contains some seriously political messaging.

With lines that promise to “bring America BACK from the brink,” there are a number of nods to this political season in the teaser. Including Megan Mullally’s voice at the end saying, “Make America bueno again.” There are so many, in fact, that a lot of people are thinking that this four-way reunion may have happened for a political campaign. And since these stars have openly showed their support for Hillary Rodham Clinton in the past, a number of news outlets are guessing that this clip could be a part of her campaign.

Nothing has been confirmed beyond the Twitter clip as of yet, but I’m hoping that this teaser means that more of these four stars are on their way. Whether it’s for political reasons or not, the world really does need more Will & Grace in it. Always and forever. No matter what the political climate might be.
