#RIPFloyd

by Lia Beck

Regardless of what your personal feelings on Miley Cyrus are (and I know you have feelings), it's time to put those aside because right now she's going through something that anyone can understand. Miley Cyrus' dog Floyd died and she opened up to fans about her loss Tuesday night on Twitter. Cyrus tweeted, "Today is the 2nd worst day of my life" and hours later added, "I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away I am broken" along with a picture of herself and the adorable Alaskan Klee Kai dog.

Cyrus continued writing messages to fans including posting a close-up picture of her teary eye on Instagram and an extremely sad tweet which reads, "I know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?" In response, many of Cyrus' fans have reached out to her giving their condolences and starting the hashtag #RIPFloyd.

Cyrus adopted Floyd back in 2011 and was her second dog in addition to Lila, a Yorkie. In the years since, Cyrus adopted three more dogs, Happy, Ziggy, and Mary Jane and lost Lila when she died in 2012. At the time, Cyrus tweeted, "For everyone asking... I have never been so hurt in my life. My heart has never been so broken..... Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away."

Anyone who has owned a pet knows how hard this must be for Cyrus and Cyrus herself has recognized that it might effect her Bangerz tour. She wrote to her Boston fans,

Cyrus was able to find a positive message in the form of a P.F. Chang's fortune cookie. She wrote of the following photo, "sometimes pf changs knows just what you need to hear."

And I think we ALL know Miley Cyrus has a love of life.
