We Know Why They're Friends

The Biebs just keeps expanding his circle of friends. Two weeks ago, his Instagram was full of photos with Austin Mahone and now it seems like he's found a new random friend. According to an Instagram post on Wednesday morning, Justin Bieber and Craig Robinson hang out and our first reaction was "huh?" Then we realized that the Biebs is probably a fan of some of Robinson's other work — mainly wildly popular stoner flicks.

Robinson might be most famous for starring alongside Steve Carrell as Darryl on The Office, but the actor also starred in two of the most popular stoner films of the 2000s — Pineapple Express and Hot Tub Time Machine. And you already know that with Bieber's recently reveal that he loves marijuana, he has to have worked his way through the standard required films for stoners.

The photo of Bieber and Robinson gives nothing away about why/how they ended up hanging out — the caption simply reads: "-crown emoji- haha." Is he calling Robinson a king of stoners? Maybe. Or was this a crowning moment in his budding career (ha) as a stoner?

Neither the Biebs nor Robinson tweeted about their meeting, so all we can do is speculate. But we're going to go ahead and assume that he didn't have questions about selling fictional paper. Maybe they chatted about the year 2028 and discussed their failed attempts at executing the cross joint in real life.

Is there a Pineapple Express 2 or Hot Tub Time Machine 2 coming with a Bieber cameo attached? We can only hope.
