Who Are the 'Pretty Little Liars' 'Baby-Sitters Club' Spirit Animals?

Hannah and her friends on Girls are often compared to the Sex and the City ladies (Shosh is a Carrie at heart, but sometimes, a little bit of a Samantha), but, after Tuesday's episode, we have a totally different comparison for our favorite "little liars." We can't help but think of the characters on PLL as the modern-day equivalent to the girls from that other YA series, The Babysitter's Club. Which babysitter is whose spirit animal? The 'Pretty Little Liars' Girls are Totally the Modern-Day The 'Baby-Sitter's Club' Girls

Spencer Hastings = Kristy Thomas

Kristy has great ideas — she was the one who started the Baby-Sitters Club in the first place! Like Spencer, she's a natural leader, which can border on bossiness on occasion. While Kristy may use her athletic ability to hit a softball, Spencer's more comfortable exerting her skills on the field hockey team.

Emily Fields = Mary Anne Spier

Mary Anne is the shyest of the Baby-Sitters Club members, and Emily is definitely the most reserved of the girls on Pretty Little Liars. (To be fair, Hanna is on that show, so... ) Like Emily, Mary Anne had to warm up to being in the spotlight and started showing off her appearance and "true self" little by little. Emily is still wearing sweats (which she looks great in), but is a little bit more open about herself. In fact, she's finally a totally-out-of-the-closet lesbian. Sorry, boys.

Hanna Marin = Stacey McGill

Fierce and fashion-forward, Hanna shares a ton of traits with the stylish babysitter. For one, they both watch what they eat (Stacey, because she has diabetes; Hanna, because of the crippling insecurities that she was left with after being friends with Alison DiLaurentis), they both have divorced parents, and they both are always game for a witty comeback.

Aria Montgomery = Claudia Kishi

Mainly because both of them dress like they're completely insane, and sometimes it works. Both girls also have an artistic flair and have a weird relationship with school: Claudia is a poor student, Aria is sleeping with her teacher.
