'Sharknado 2's Finally Got A Teaser

by Alanna Bennett

There is a man raising a chainsaw above his head, standing on top of a train, in the middle of a New York City mob. That is a shot from the first teaser trailer for Sharknado 2: The Second One , the much-anticipated (I guess?) sequel to the so-bad-it's-great first Sharknado movie. It features, rather predictably, more sharks, and more sharks in tornadoes.

The sequel, which this time takes place in New York City, brings back Sharknado stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid to reprise their old roles. It also brings in newbies like Vivica A. Fox. I didn't catch a glimpse of Kelly Osbourne in this particular teaser, but she's joined the cast as well, alongside Andy Dick, Judah Friedlander, Judd Hirsch, and Mark McGrath of the band Sugar Ray.

As one would expect from a movie called Sharknado 2 that takes place in Manhattan, there are lot of sharks making appearances among the sky scrapers. As Zeiring's character mutters with understandable dread, "It's happening again." Oooh boy is it. This is only the beginning, folks. Prepare for the storm (no wordplay intended) of the Sharknado promotional campaign. It's bound to make you giggle as you question the very sanity of modern humans.

God, Twitter's gonna be really fun the night this movie premieres.
