'The Little Mermaid' Is Out of The Sea This Fall

by Samantha Matthews

In Disney's The Little Mermaid, all that love struck and land stuck Ariel wanted was to become part of our world. Now thanks to the British designer's fall 2015 collection, The Little Mermaid's notable characters took to the runway at Bobby Abley's London fashion show. The line is not just Disney inspired, but it's full-on '90s inspired too, full of skatewear like graphic sweatshirts and shirts, baggy shorts and, of course, the looks were paired with Vans sneakers. The line caters mostly to guys with one added woman's look, but I think will certainly be doing some stealing from the easily unisex men's collection. I especially love the Ursula and Sebastian sweatshirts that have potential to be the ultimate streetwear come fall.

The female model at the show rocked a pair of oversized board shorts that are covered in lipstick prints — an ode to Kiss the Girl, I suspect. The runway presentation also included a series of custom skateboards designed by Danny Hyland that feature Flotsam, Jetsam, and Sebastian. Although you may already have your eyes and heart set on a specific piece from the show, the collection won't be available until fall, so we all have a couple more months of sea dreaming in our futures. Check out all the awesome, mermaid-inspired pieces below.
