Did Someone Just Say Unlimited Appetizers?!

by Alicia Lu

In a move that either says "We really love our customers" or "We don't care if they keel over and die," TGI Fridays has launched an unlimited appetizers promotion that allows customers to eat all they can for $10. If you're at all familiar with TGI Fridays, then you know we're not talking kale and quinoa salads. But for those of us who are no strangers to the Loaded Potato Skins, then it's way too late to start thinking conscientiously and we may as well rejoice at this amazing deal. Let's go with the latter.

The promotion is an effort to compete with the steep discounts at TGI Friday's rivals, like Applebee's and Chili's, who both offer an appetizer and two full entrees for $20. The 2 For $20 deal may or may not have compelled my friends and I to drive an hour out of the city to eat at Chili's. And the chains' similar promotions are part of the battle with larger competitive force driving customers away from sit-down, table-service restaurants, a force known as Chipotle.

So in order to keep its loyal customers, TGI Fridays is offering the unlimited appetizer deal through the end of August — right during bikini season; how perfect! We wouldn't mind seeing what it's all about, you know, for research purposes, but for now, let's indulge in a visual feast of TGI Fridays' unlimited appetizers.

Loaded Potato Skins

Don't you dare think I'm mocking these little boats of goodness when I say there's nothing quite like congealed cheese topped with bacon bits.

Buffalo Wings

You or someone you know has definitely burned their fingers eagerly eating these at TGI Fridays.

Mozzarella Sticks

You don't need to go to the Olive Garden to have an authentic taste of Italy. TGI Fridays offers a little something from all corners of the world.

Bruschetta

Just because you're eating unlimited appetizers at TGI Fridays doesn't mean you can't eat healthy. With the bruschetta starter, even vegetarians can indulge.
