In case you haven't heard, Hilary Duff is in the midst of a Jennifer Lopez-esque comeback. Not only has the young star managed to navigate a very public split from husband Mike Comrie with grace, she has also debuted a new single entitled "Chasing The Sun", to be followed by a full album come fall. This is to say nothing of Duff's curated Instagram account, which is peppered with glamour shots, nature captures, and a few snaps of her angelic-looking son Luca, who himself is so adored by the camera it would send Prince George into a jealous tantrum.

Marital woes aside, it appears that Duff is indeed having her moment in the sun, a moment which is peppered with the celebrity's famously sweet red carpet style. Duff may love a glamorous moment for a film event, but she is a jeans-and-tee girl at heart, from her Lizzie McGuire days of denim-on-denim ensembles to her modern obsession with skinny cropped jeans. In celebration of Duff's new summer anthem and the many fashionable ensembles I hope to see in conjunction with promoting her new album, here is a rundown of the performer's best denim moments.

1. IN DISTRESSED, POCKETLESS DENIM WHILE PERFORMING

Though it appears Duff singed her jeans when removing the front pockets and taking a razor to the knees of the pair, this bold, concert-ready pair is nevertheless a statement her audience won't soon forget.

2. IN FADED BELL BOTTOMS WITH SISTER HAYLIE

For those who forgot about the millennial bell bottoms and peasant blouse trend, Hilary Duff is intent on providing a solid reminder with the help of sister Haylie.

3. IN A DARK WASH CANADIAN TUXEDO ON THE RED CARPET

In the days before having a stylist to prevent a fashion faux pas was de rigueur, Duff waltzed down the red carpet in this MTV Music Awards-appropriate Canadian Tuxedo with an unexpected corset detail at the waistline. What the starlet did do correctly, however, is choose an ultra-flattering dark wash.

4. IN BLEACHED, RIPPED SKINNIES WITH SISTER HAYLIE

The sisters certainly went through an Olsen-esque phase of dressing identically. But as the idiom goes, all good things must come to an end, even if those good things are matching jeans.

5. IN GREY BOOTCUT JEANS WITH CUSTOMIZED HEART EMBELLISHMENT

Hilary Duff is the everygirl in more ways than her fans could possibly imagine, if that little Sharpie-drawn heart above the knee is any indication.

After you take a moment of silence to remember the sheer joy that was TRL, give Duff serious props for rocking a pair of jean shorts so microscopic they may well fall into the category of Daisy Dukes.

7. IN DARK WASH DENIM TROUSERS

When Ferragamo and The Cinema Society are involved, it's essential to bring your sartorial A-game, which is exactly what Duff attempted with these wide-leg denim trousers.

8. IN FLARED-ANKLE FADED JEANS

Though I can't speak for the oatmeal-colored afghan Duff opted to wear to her red carpet event, the jeans have a perfectly worn, distressed wash to them, even if they are dragging below her embellished sandals.

9. IN CROPPED, WHISKERED SKINNY JEANS

You simply can't go wrong with a formula of skinny jeans, artfully knotted scarf, nude heels, and a leather moto jacket. The former Disney pop star has come a long way indeed since her teenybopper days.
