Singer-Songwriter Sia Gets Married!

by Caitlyn Callegari

Despite being known for her illustrious songs and enduring lyrics, prolific singer-songwriter Sia Furler has some joyous news to share that isn't exactly work-related. Hollywood Life reported that Sia got married to her fiancé Erik Anders Lang at her home in Palm Springs on Saturday. It's been quite an eventful year for Furler, who released album 1000 Forms of Fear and was engaged and married all within that time. A busy lady for sure, but clearly, she's got it handled. This news is especially heart warming considering the singer's candidness on her struggle with fallout from the tragic death of her boyfriend in 1997.

While Sia usually shies away from the spotlight (and you know, doesn't face the audience or stays hidden under a blanket as Lena Dunham grinds on her atop a bunk bed), in order to celebrate her nuptials, let's bring her to the forefront for once and showcase that amazing talent in the best way we know how — by revisiting all those gut-wrenching songs that make Sia's music so relatable and cathartic. Hey, it's a wedding. We're allowed to be sentimental.

"BREATHE ME"

Cue endless tears.

"DRESSED IN BLACK"

Ominous title, sups adorbs lyrics.

"MY LOVE"
