Net-A-Porter to Launch 'Hunger Games' Collection

by Candace Bryan

Despite the reality that most of the well-dressed people in the Hunger Games are evil, the movie's costume designer Trish Summerville has done such a stellar job of making beautiful outfits that most fashionistas and Hunger Games fanatics still want to dress like they live in the Capitol.

So much so, in fact, that Summerville has designed a Hunger Games-inspired capsule collection called (obviously) "Capitol Couture," which will be available to buy this November exclusively on Net-A-Porter.com.

The collection is being described as "luxury," so we fear our wallets might be a little too "District 12" to buy any of it. And although we might try to comfort ourselves by speculating that the line will be too over-the-top to wear, Net-A-Porter's Fashion Director Holli Rogers has assured that Capitol Couture isn't just a novelty:

"This is also brilliant fashion in its own right, and we're delighted to provide our customers with the chance to purchase limited-edition pieces designed by one of the most original costume designers in the industry today."

No one knows exactly when the collection will go on sale, but we do know it will be in time for the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on November 22. Until then, we'll be perusing the official Hunger Games fashion blog for fall fashion inspiration and checking Net-A-Porter on a daily basis.
