Best Themed Wedding Yet?

Batman has had many jobs over the years — saving Gotham from the Joker, saving Gotham from Bane, saving Gotham from Penguin and Mr. Freeze and... Jeez, Gotham, do you ever not need saving? But this weekend, instead of saving Gotham, Batman decided to preside over a wedding. And if the photos are any indication, in the right circumstances the dark knight can be adorable. Who knew?

The comic book-themed wedding was the dream of Batman fans Ali Butrym and Ryan Jeziorski who wanted their ceremony to be not just special but super. The happy couple dressed as the Joker and Harley Quinn, and their bridal party got in on the fun, too. The bridesmaids and groomsmen came as Wolverine, Wonder Woman, Bane, The Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Mario. Because even though Wolverine is a character out of Marvel instead of DC Comics, and Mario isn't a comic book character at all, weddings are about coming together.

Even Batman — who's real secret identity turns out to be not Bruce Wayne but the couple's friend Jarrod — put aside his quest to apprehend to Joker to instead preside over his arch-nemesis's wedding.

The bride explained on Reddit that their families were also pretty supportive of the whole thing. "I think with both of us being big Batman fans they weren't suprised [sic]," she wrote. "Plus every person that attended also dressed up! Made me realize we have some awesome family and friends."

Like I said, the whole thing is really cute. And the photos are awesome.
