Who Is Returning For 'Glee' Season 6? And 17 Other Burning Questions For The Series’ End

It's been a long time since we've heard Glee sing a tune. Fox's musical dramedy ended its fifth season this past spring, and the show's sixth (and final!) season isn't slated to air until spring of 2015. That's a whole lotta time to wait, which means that we have plenty of burning questions for Season 6 of Glee — and if someone could answer all of them right this second, that would be fantastic. Here are the questions we have for Glee's retirement tour, from what we know to what we desperately wish that we did.

Who Is Returning To The Final Season?

We can answer this — yay! Though the main cast has been “slimmed down,” reports say that fan favorite actors will return to the dramedy before it bows out. Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Kevin McHale (Artie), Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schuester), Jane Lynch (Sue), Chord Overstreet (Sam), Darren Criss (Blaine), Chris Colfer (Kurt) and Lea Michelle (Rachel) are set to return as regulars, while Naya Rivera (Santana) and Max Adler (Karofsky) will be recurring.

Is Anyone Else Going To Show Up As Guest Stars?

Dianna Agron and Mark Salling will reprise their roles as Quinn and Puck. According to E! News, Jayma Mays (Emma) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) will also return as guest stars in the final season.

How Many Episodes Will It Be?

Season 6 of Glee will have 13-episodes. The previous seasons of the series have had 22, with the exception of Season 5, which only aired 20.

Is There A Time Jump?

Glad you asked! There will be — though right now it’s unclear as to how much time the show will have pass between the end of Season 5 and the start of Season 6.

Will Rachel Still Live In Los Angeles?

Nope — and she won’t be back on Broadway, either. According to the spoilers, Rachel will have returned home to Ohio to work as the “new Mr. Schue” when Season 6 starts.

...But Isn't That The Worst Idea Ever?

Yup.

Okay, Okay, Fine. But What Is Everyone Else Doing?

COMPETING, YO! According to reports, Blaine will advise the Warblers, Mr. Schue will be the choir director to Vocal Adrenaline, and Kurt will help Rachel reign over the McKinley gang.

Ugh, So Rachel's Going To Be The Worst Again, Isn't She?

Let’s hope that the “humiliating” end to her TV career made her a bit more humble. No guarantees.

Wait, Why Isn't Naya Rivera Returning As A Regular?

It’s not exactly clear. Of course, that’s only if you don’t believe the rumors about that little feud between Rivera and Lea Michele.

What About The "New" New Directions?

Oh, yeah, remember them? According to Ryan Murphy, we will see at least some of the last New Directions at some point in Season 6. According to Murphy, we will check in on how being a part of the Glee club legacy changed them.

Are There Any New Characters?

There are at least six new characters. Six.

Isn't That An Insane Amount of Characters?

Glee is the product of the same team behind American Horror Story. Let’s just say this is expected. Some say that’s just too many cooks, I say… well, the same thing.

Blaine and Kurt Are Still Together, Right? Right?!?!?!?!?!

Don’t get too comfortable with Klaine — according to spoilers, Blaine may have a new love interest. And that love interest is Karofsky.

Will We See The Return of White Chocolate?

Chord Overstreet will return, but no word yet on whether his stripper alter ego will. Fingers crossed.

Any Good Romantic Tidbits You Can Give Me?

Here’s a spoiler: Another Glee couple may be walking down the aisle. Or at least planning on it.

Who's Even Together Anymore?

No idea. Maybe it’s Puck and Quinn? Either way, EXCITED!

Will They Do Another Cover Of "Don't Stop Believin'?"

Not confirmed, but obviously.

So, Seriously. Should I Be Watching This?

If you’ve stuck with Glee for five seasons, there’s no way you should give up now. I’ll be tuning in when Glee returns, because every show deserves a proper goodbye — let’s hope it brings us back to the greatness that was Season 1.
