Where Is 'RHOBH' Husband Paul Nassif?

by Laura Rosenfeld

If you were able to watch the Season 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , you were treated to something truly special. All six original RHOBH cast members reunited at Kyle Richards' annual White Party, which in addition to Kyle, included her sister Kim, Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Taylor Armstrong, and Adrienne Maloof. Watching these Housewives bust a move together made it seem like no time had passed at all. Adrienne received the most spotlight out of any of the former Housewives during the premiere, probably because she had a very messy exit from the show, which included a massive falling out with fellow cast member Brandi Glanville. It looks like Adrienne is going to try to resolve her issues with Brandi this season, but her relationship with Brandi wasn't the only casualty from appearing on RHOBH. What happened to Adrienne's husband Paul Nassif?

Even if you haven't been following Adrienne's drama with Paul, you could probably tell from that the fact that Adrienne showed up to Kyle's White Party with her much-younger boyfriend Jacob Busch that Adrienne and Paul are not together anymore. In fact, in very RHOBH fashion, much of the drama unfolded on-camera. Though Adrienne and Paul had never really been a lovey-dovey couple, during Season 3 of RHOBH, the nagging was at an all-time high, and you could just feel the mutual hatred toward one another. So during that season, the couple announced their separation after nearly 10 years of marriage.

Though it seemed like reconciliation between the couple was a possibility, Paul soon filed for divorce. Adrienne didn't show up to the Season 3 reunion because she and Paul were under a gag order from the court system to not speak about their marriage, children, or divorce, and she feared questions about those topics would come up a lot during the reunion.

However, we didn't need a TV show to detail everything going on in Adrienne and Paul's divorce because the case played out very publicly and nastily in the press, with each side fighting for custody of their three children. In the court documents, Paul alleged that Adrienne verbally and physically abused him. Adrienne also claimed that Paul used physical force on her and carried a gun in his briefcase.

Thankfully for their children, Adrienne and Paul reached a divorce settlement in 2013, even though the gossip mill still churns out rumors about drama between the exes. But clearly, they have moved on with their lives, with Adrienne now dating Jacob, as we saw on RHOBH, and Paul stepping out with his girlfriend Chantell de Jong.

Just because Paul won't be appearing on RHOBH anymore, doesn't mean we won't get to see him on reality TV. Paul is actually a plastic surgeon specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at his Beverly Hills practice. He has taken that expertise to lead his own show Botched on E! where he, along with Terry Dubrow, who also stars as the husband of The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Heather, fix bad plastic surgery jobs. The first season of Botched wrapped last month, but don't worry, because this awfully (and I do mean awful) fascinating show will soon be back in our lives when it returns for Season 2 some time in 2015.

So now with Adrienne appearing in Season 5 of RHOBH in "cameo roles," should we expect to see Paul at all? It doesn't seem likely, considering they are divorced now and Adrienne claims she is returning to the show to resolve some issues with the other ladies and "come full circle." Sparring with your ex-husband on TV doesn't really fit with that aim. Unless Paul pops up in a friendly situation with one of the other Housewives or Househusbands, we'll just have to catch him elsewhere on TV.
