Solange Cements Her Cool Girl Status In New Ads

by Sienna Fantozzi

Put those capes aside, because mesh and shredded are in now, apparently. Solange Knowles is the face of Elevenparis, and though the ads are of course fierce, she's rocking some pretty question mark inducing clothing.

Though Knowles is fresh off a Puma collaboration, she's already fronting another designer's ad campaign, this time taking on French brand Elevenparis. Solange posed in oversized and mesh tees for the ads, which feature some pretty powerful hair, by the way, but the standout piece is clearly the shredded sweater. The white long-sleeved top is ripped and shredded with several cutouts allover, which effectively eliminates the purpose of a sweater (and increases the need for a bra). Paired with jewel-toned blue shorts and Solange's untamed hair, it looks impossibly cool, but for real life? Not so much. I feel like if I wore this walking around town I'd look like I'd been mauled by some kind of wild animal. Not cute.

Regardless of the wearability of the clothing, Solange continues to prove she wins at high fashion, whether she's wearing a cape or a shredded up sweater. And considering she's following in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Wiz Khalifa, who fronted the brands last campaign, I'd say a place in fashion is solidly reserved for Bey's little sis.
