Don't Expect 'Bonnie & Clyde' To Be Good

When the only thing astonishing about a movie trailer is that the producers were even able to get respected actors like Emile Hirsch, William Hurt, Holly Hunter, and Holliday Grainger to star, that doesn't exactly bode well for the movie itself. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case with the upcoming two-part TV miniseries Bonnie & Clyde , if this new teaser trailer is any indication.

Starring Hirsch and Grainger as the legendary criminal couple, the miniseries looks more like a low-budget TV movie you'd find airing on the new defunct UPN network than something that's starring actors who have been in real, award-nominated movies. William Hurt won an Oscar! What happened, yo?

Anyway, I guess I should explain a little about the movie now. Well, just like the title suggests, it follow Bonnie and Clyde as they rob banks and tell each other how much they love the other. Gag. The costumes look pretty cheap too, so it's pretty hard to buy that this is the '30s and not 2013 on the set of a low budget TV movie.

If you're interested, though, you can check out the teaser down below. And if you're really interested, or possibly a masochist, the two-part miniseries will kick off on Dec. 8 on three networks: A&E, History, and Lifetime. Somehow, the fact that this movie is going to air on Lifetime doesn't surprise me one bit.
