Beyoncé Launched Her Fifth Scent

by Eliza Florendo

Who run the world? Beyoncé. Clothing line, shoe line, 20 Grammys, mommy to beautiful baby Blue Ivy, dancer, performer, kick ass businesswoman—check, check, check, check, check, check...do we even have to go on? And now, following the success of her perfume called Heat in 2010, Beyoncé has launched her fifth scent called Heat Wild Orchid in the United States.

The perfume, a collaboration with Firmenich Perfumer Honorine Blanc, centers around the Butterfly Orchid, which is believed to have aphrodesiac qualities, according to the press release. Top notes in the perfume include pomegranate, coconut, and boysenberry, while middle notes are made up of honeysuckle, blooming magnolia, and the infamous Butterfly Orchid. And finally, the bottom notes are comprised of blonde woods, skin musks, and gilded amber. Translation: sexy and yummy scents.

According to the press release, the perfume is an "enticing, mouth-watering fragrance that emits a fierce, feminine energy" that "both invites and intoxicates those who encounter it." In keeping with the theme of a woman's sexuality, the perfume bottle is shaped to mimic a woman's curves. Photographer Michael Thompson captured Bey in an embellished dress with her hair slicked back for the campaign.

While the perfume made its debut in Europe last year, it's now coming to U.S. retailers. Prices for sizes range from $20 for the 0.5 oz eau de parfum to $59 for the 3.4 oz bottle. You can find Bey's new perfume at Target, Sears, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Kohl's, Rite Aid, and Kmart. See you there!
