Turns Out Cyrus Really Is Unstoppable

by Kate Ward

It's no wonder Miley Cyrus won't stop. It's because she's simply unstoppable. The former Hannah Montana actress continues her headline domination with Bangerz , which hit No. 1 on iTunes, selling more than 270,000 albums. It's a milestone for the young star, whose new image has hit Hollywood and young fans harder than a wrecking ball — the "We Can't Stop" singer is enjoying her largest numbers since 2008.

So say what you will about her new appearance — it's certainly working for the star. But, of course, Cyrus knew that it would. The actress-turned-singer was vocal on Today last week about her methodical ability to attract headlines: "I'm an artist," she said during her sit-down with Matt Lauer. "So I'm hoping I get a little attention, otherwise my record sales will be a little sketch."

And, right now, they're certainly not. She's finished ahead of Panic At the Disco to win this week — but there isn't too much competition threatening Bangerz. That, of course, will change in the coming months, with Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Rihanna all set to release their own albums.

And do we really think Gaga would let anyone, let alone Miley Cyrus, upstage her?
