It's a Boy for This 'Homeland' Star!

Lucky for Morena Baccarin, things are going much better in her real life than her character Jessica's on Homeland. The actress was not only recently nominated for an Emmy for her role on the hit Showtime series, but Baccarin gave birth to her first child on Tuesday too, People reports. The baby boy's name is Julius (hail little Caesar!), and Baccarin was able to have a natural delivery despite him being breeched.

Baccarin delivered at Glendale Adventist Medical Center and her doctor was Ronald Wu, the only doctor in Los Angeles who delivers breeched babies naturally in hospitals. “I’m so happy I was able to deliver with Dr. Wu. Breech delivery is a dying art and he gave me the birth experience I wanted," Baccarin said about Julius' birth.

Baccarin's rep confirmed that she and Julius, who weighed a little under eight pounds, are doing well. Baccarin has been married to director and screenwriter Austin Chick since November of 2011, and Julius is the first child for both.

Let's hope for Baccarin and her husband's sakes that Julius grows up to be much less annoying than her onscreen daughter Dana, and has more to say than her TV son Chris. Her son may only be a few days old, but Baccarin has already had more than her fair share of whiny teenagers.
