Jesse Tyler Ferguson Sells Bowties For Equality

Actor, husband, and now fashion entrepreneur Jesse Tyler Ferguson is selling bow ties to support marriage equality through his organization called Tie The Knot. If you didn't already know, Tie The Knot, which was founded by Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita, is dedicated to supporting marriage equality in a very fashionable manner. The limited-edition bow ties will be available for sale at The Tie Bar and 80% of the proceeds will go to numerous foundations supporting marriage equality including the American Foundation for Equal Rights, the Human Rights Campaign, and Freedom to Marry.

Ferguson, known for his role as Mitchell Pritchett on Modern Family, has always been open with his encouragement for LGBT equality and has been married to his husband for almost 2 years now. The two founded their organization to "combine all of our favorite things: humor, style, individuality, fashion, art, and equality," according to the website's bio page. The bio went on to say that "the goal of Tie The Knot is clear: to advocate for the civil rights of gay and lesbian Americans throughout the United States & beyond, and to look damn good while doing it."

The organization also just introduced their Summer 2015 Collection, and they look totally fabulous. The bow ties are going for $25, and $20 of the proceeds will be donated to Tie The Knot!
