Mom's Hilariously Honest Photo Goes Viral

by Kaitlin Stanford

It may come as no surprise that the minute you pop out a kid, you're instantly fair game for a sh*t ton of nosey questions from strangers. But while most may be pretty benign, others can get super personal super fast. And if you ever have twins, triplets, or quads? Prepare to get pelted with questions pretty much every time you leave the house. (Seriously.) Reminding us of that fact this week is Annie Nolan, who shared a photo of her twins holding a sign of FAQs she tends to get while wheeling her toddlers around town. And let me just say, the Australian mum of three — who also writes the frank and funny blog Uncanny Annie — didn't hold back one bit.

But first, she prefaced her photo with a little backstory:

I REALLY wanted to leave these signs on the pram today. As a twin mum, you get asked a series of questions/hear a series of statements EVERYTIME you go out. I know most people are coming from a great place and are just curious however many can be quite intrusive and after a while it's just plain exhausting. And since I was heading into the city, I knew the questions would be coming thick and fast... but I chickened out on the train and took them off!

Then came the hilarious photo of her twin girls, Delphi and Cheska who did their mom's signs some major justice from their stroller:

Yep; she straight-up went there — right down to answering the nosiest question of all: were they conceived naturally? (For the record, "conceived by f*cking" might be the best response to that ever.) Naturally, it wasn't long before other moms jumped in to give the awesomely candid Annie a well-deserved high-five.

Love this!!! I would [have] left them on. Seriously people wouldn't ask those questions if you only had one baby. I get asked most of these on a regular basis.. Not ur business if they are 'natural' or not!! Ugh! Good on you for making other twin mummy's liked myself have a good laugh! Being a twin mum is full on but so rewarding. Wouldn't have it any other way!!

Others, like alzarnecki, simply professed their love for Nolan:

I don't even know you and I love you for this. I literally argue with strangers every day about whether my fraternal twins are identical or not lol

In just a few days, Nolan's photo had gone super viral — and her Instagram followers were quick to point that out:

I have 7 month old twin daughters and someone actually came up to me in the supermarket on Monday to tell me about reading about you in the paper and suggested I do something similar! I can completely relate!

It also helps that her girls are insanely cute. Let us count the ways...

Their style choices are seriously on-point.

Every. Single. Time.

They also know how to effortlessly pull off a good stache.

Did I mention their two best friends are Ariel and Jasmine?

I mean... come ON. Does it get much cuter?

If you want to get further lost in the never-ending photo stream of adorableness that I just did, just scroll Nolan's Instagram account and get more where that came from. (You thank me later.)
