It is time to grab your factor 50, because ITV’s successful dating show Love Island is back. Which can only mean one thing: it’s time to decline that wedding invitation, sell your Glastonbury tickets, and clear your schedule for weeks of muggy behaviour. The “OG” dating show will be back on our screens from June 6, and nanny Amber Beckford is ready to head into the villa, slow-motion montage and all. If her Instagram is anything to go by, the Londoner is no stranger to having a good time in a bikini. Here’s everything we know about Love Island’s Amber Beckford so far.

What Is Amber’s Job?

24-year-old Amber is currently working as a nanny. “As I work with kids I have patience with kids,” she explains, “but adults, they annoy me!” Speaking to ITV about her likes and dislikes, Amber also revealed that she’s not short of opinions, which should make for interesting fire pit moments.

What Is Amber’s Instagram?

Amber can be found on Instagram at @amberbeckford. At the time of publications she only has a few photos, but the Story highlights and grid posts she does have suggest that she’s a bit of a jet-setter, posting from Dubai, Cannes, and the Dominican Republic. Amber already has over 3,500 followers on Instagram.

What Else Is There To Know About Amber?

A word of warning for those trying to score a date with Love Island’s latest recruit: Amber doesn’t like flashy guys. “I don’t like guys that show off. I don’t like flashy, showy-offy guys... There was this one guy and he was trying to purposefully show off his car keys and we were literally in the middle of a restaurant!” So, no showing off, and no car keys on the table.

She would rather someone were genuine. Speaking to ITV, she said: “Just have a personality and make me laugh.” As to what she’s looking for in the Love Island villa, Amber she’s “definitely ready” for a boyfriend, so hopefully there will be some suitably funny and non-flashy guys waiting for her.

While in the villa, Amber said she is looking forward to having a “chat with the girls,” and won’t be afraid of sharing her opinions. “I can definitely be opinionated so I’m not sure how that’s going to go down. As I work with kids I have patience with kids but adults, they annoy me.”

Love Island starts at 9 p.m. Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
