If you miss the old Kanye, you’re probably not alone. Kanye West has had a private 2017, staying out of the limelight since he was hospitalized in 2016 for exhaustion after a now infamous rant at the last show of his Saint Pablo tour. He's has had a very quiet 2017, hopefully getting some much needed rest and relaxation. But what’s Kanye West doing in 2018? Yeezy’s got a whole lot on the horizon.

For one, it seems like West wants to start touring again. In June, TMZ reported that Live Nation was just waiting on the go-ahead from West and his tour could resume as soon as early 2018. It won't just be the same Saint Pablo tour, which ran from August to November of 2016 until West canceled the rest of the tour after ending his final show early. West has reportedly changed up the set list (does that mean new music?), and the new tour would improve upon his legendary floating stage, or even replace it, which would be a bummer for a lot of fans — but whatever he replaces it with would probably be just as dope.

West's last performance of his Saint Pablo tour was a truncated show of just 30 minutes in Sacramento. He stopped the music after a half an hour and went on a tirade about politics and, notably, about Beyoncé and JAY-Z and their apparent feud. But Yeezy came back to the stage just recently in a much more joyous fashion. At his show on November 4 in Chicago, Kid Cudi brought out West for a performance of "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," the song they collaborated on for The Life of Pablo. (Cudi was also at that notorious Sacramento show.) Fans went nuts, very happy to see Yeezy in his hometown, healthy, and back on stage where he belongs. Even Chance the Rapper tweeted about the momentous occasion of Yeezy's first stage performance in nearly a year.

In addition to possibly touring again, as always with Yeezy, there's the question of whether or not he's going to release a new album. West dropped The Life of Pablo in 2016, and though he's been very quiet publicly in 2017, sources say he's toiling away and working hard, not only on his own music but on producing all the beats for artists on his label G.O.O.D Music, according to Billboard. In June, two new Kanye tracks leaked, appearing on Reddit. According to NME, one track is called "Euro (Switch Hands)" featuring A$AP Rocky, and the other, "Hold Tight" featuring Migos and Young Thug. The website notes that it's not clear whether or not these tracks were left off of The Life of Pablo or were leaked from his much anticipated next album, Turbo Grafx 16, which Yeezy started teasing all the way back in February 2016. And he's been keeping extremely quiet, reportedly heading to rural Wyoming to record. According to TMZ, earlier this year West was "holed up" in a retreat in Wyoming at the top of a mountain.

And besides the tour and prospective album, West will have another big project on his hands for 2018 — his new baby, of course! West and wife Kim Kardashian have publicly revealed that they used a surrogate for their third child after Kardashian's many complications in the past with pregnancy and childbirth. West and Kardashian are soon going to be outnumbered by their children, and that's a whole lot of work.

Whatever West gets up to in 2018, it seems like he's happy, healthy, and ready to get back to his fans. Whether that means an album or a tour, or both, if fans are lucky, West will be refreshed, recharged, and ready for Yeezus to rise again.
