Now You Can Drink Like Ron Burgundy

by Alanna Bennett

If you're tied up by strangely specific things and were wondering when a perfect product tie-in would come along to cast even further shame on those weird an inappropriate Hunger Games: Catching Fire marketing gaffes, well we've got good news for you: Anchorman 's Ron Burgundy now has his own scotch. And whereas the Catching Fire marketing may make you question the very fabric of our blindly consumerist lives, this one kind of makes you want to fall into it with a scotch-drenched grin.

The scotch itself is known as The Great Odin’s Raven Special Reserve, and according to That's Nerdalicious it is a "40 percent ABV blend of Scotch whiskies from Speyside, Highlands, and Islay (it also boasts some nice fruity overtones)." If you know what that means then good for you, you fancy scotch-swilling person!

Given that Anchorman is coming out very soon and the fact that it is December, we would anticipate that the release date for this scotch will be "imminently" and that there will be quite a few fratboys and hip older brothers throughout the land who will be getting this as a stocking stuffer.

Oh wait, I forgot to load this post with Anchorman quotes: "Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly," "By the beard of Zeus!" Etc. You get the picture.

It should be noted that if I ever try this scotch there is a zero percent chance it will not be consumed side-by-side with Ben & Jerry's "Scotchy Scotch Scotch" ice cream.
