Sad news from the music world as reports confirm that rapper Redway has died at just 26 years old. Redway's management company released a statement, and celebrities like Drake took to social media to share their reactions to the tragic loss. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the musician, whose birth name was Shane Redway, died in a car accident on Saturday, Aug. 1. He was one of three people killed when the vehicle lost control and hit a guardrail on a highway near Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

Redway was known for being a passionate artist who was always striving for greatness, pushing the boundaries of always believing in your visions and dreams which led to the creation of the BLVD (The Belief Leading Visions & Dreams),” the rapper's management company said in a statement to the Toronto Star.

According to Toronto TV station CP24, the car crash is still under investigation.

"At this point we are looking at every option," Const. Kerry Schmidt said. "We don’t have any indication from direct witnesses so we are appealing to any witnesses that may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision to come forward and speak with police, and we are following up with the original owner of the vehicle and family members. We don’t know if alcohol, fatigue, distraction or any other factors played a part in this. It is still very dynamic."
