Stop what you're doing right now and listen to this: YouTube cover band Postmodern Jukebox recently premiered their retro take on "My Heart Will Go On" — Céline Dion's iconic Oscar-winning love theme from the movie Titanic — and it's shut-the-front-door amazing. Trust me, you've never heard the track quite like this before. If you're unfamiliar with their work, Postmodern Jukebox (or PMJ) is an ever-changing collection of talented musicians (brought together by composer Scott Bradlee) who spread joy throughout the world by putting an old-fashioned spin on current pop songs. The group's YouTube channel has over 1.3 million subscribers, and Bradlee's unique arrangements have been featured on popular television singing competitions like American Idol and The Voice.

I'll always have a soft spot for Dion's original version of "My Heart Will Go On," but I must say, turning the 1997 ballad into a 1950s doo-wop number was truly a stroke of genius. It's astonishing just how well the upbeat style suits the track! Singer Mykal Kilgore gives his all to the lively rendition — and the way he effortlessly handles the over-the-top but oh-so-necessary key change at the 2:22 mark is guaranteed to take your breath away. The only way you could possibly make PMJ's "My Heart Will Go On" cover better would be to add in dramatic audio clips from Titanic. (I'm sort of kidding... but only sort of.) You see, the version of the tune they used to play on my local radio station back in the day strategically used snippets from the movie in order to maximize its devastating emotional impact, and fifth grade me really appreciated it. Otherwise, the cover is pretty much perfect.
