Caitlyn Jenner Is Total #HairGoals

by Melanie Richtman

About a year and a half ago, hairstylist Courtney Nanson met Caitlyn Jenner through a mutual friend and the two instantly clicked after Jenner shared her inspirational story. In that moment, Nanson knew that she would be able to help craft Caitlyn Jenner's signature waves. Before Caitlyn Jenner's debut, she and Nanson spent hours pulling inspiration from magazines before finally deciding on Jenner's rich brown color and bouncy blowout. Luckily, Nanson revealed to Allure how to get Caitlyn Jenner's hair for yourself.

To achieve the bouncy waves Jenner is now known for, Nanson uses three to four different sized round brushes, alternating sizes as she blow dries one-inch sections of Jenner's hair, making sure to blow the roots upwards for maximum volume. After Jenner's hair is dry, they'll set each section with Velcro rollers for at least 30 minutes before back-combing each section for a little extra oomph.

However, when Nanson isn't by Jenner's side (which is rare), Jenner does her own hair, and even Nanson must admit, she does a pretty good job. Jenner will either use a set of hot rollers that heat up super fast, so she can get big curls with almost no effort. For day, Jenner will use the automatic curling iron gifted to her my Nanson to create loosely tousled waves.

"Cait is always up for trying out different looks. We still play with different lengths, and I think we always will. It's really exciting to work with somebody who's doing things for the first time," Nanson told Allure. "I think it's important to experiment so Cait can learn what her style is. I recently added some lighter tones for the summer, which was her idea."

I, for one, can't wait to see what her next look will be!
