Get Ready to Love Clooney Even More

George Clooney has always proved time and time again what a class act he is — case-in-point his response to your response about his coffee commercials — and this story only backs that up. In a new interview with Esquire UK, George Clooney managed to address any gay rumors by barely addressing them at all.

"[A headline read] 'George Clooney’s Gay-Gay-Gay.' And I said, 'I’m gay-gay. The third one’s pushing it,'" Clooney told the magazine. The headline that he's addressing, if you're not aware, is actually one that was brought up in a 2008 interview he did with Esquire US , in which he said exactly that. "Well now, [according to the Internet] I'm gay. You’re not going [to deny it] because that’s flat out insulting to the gay community."

This is pretty much the classiest, most respectful way for someone in the public eye to approach a rumor about their sexuality. Gay rumors in the case of an actor like Clooney, who is a sex icon to women across the globe, is meant to shock and sell tabloids — this is offensive, of course, because there's nothing wrong with or shocking about being gay.

This isn't the first time Clooney has given a great response to any rumors about his sexuality: In a 2012 interview with The Advocate , Clooney had a similar comment:

"I think it’s funny, but the last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, 'These are lies!' That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community...I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I’m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay? I'll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don't give a sh*t."

Who else is swooning?
