Well, here is some surprising news. According to the Daily News, Terrence Howard is divorced from his third wife, Mira Pak (sometimes referred to as Miranda Howard). You might be asking yourself, "Wait. What? Didn't they just have a baby?" They did, but it seems they were already in the process of a divorce before their son's birth. Bustle reached out to Howard's rep for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
The divorce sure comes as a shock, especially the way it was all unveiled. The Daily News reports that during a Monday courtroom appearance in Los Angeles, Howard testified as part of an ongoing case in which he claims his second ex-wife Michelle Ghent sent he and Pak death threats and tried to extort him. The actor is reportedly hoping to overturn his 2012 divorce settlement with Ghent based on these claims. According to several reports, Ghent's attorneys said she denied the blackmail claims during a deposition. A ruling is slated for next week.
During his testimony, the Daily News reports that Ghent's lawyer referred to Pak as Howard's "ex-wife."
Pak and Howard married in October 2013 and welcomed their son, Qirin, in May 2015. Per divorce paperwork the Daily News claims to have obtained, Pak filed for the split in March 2015, while she was pregnant with Qirin, and the divorce was finalized July 27.
Neither Howard or Pak have commented on their divorce, but you can check out the divorce documents at the Daily News, which states "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the split.
