A Rainbow Popsicle Recipe That Is Exactly What You Need On A Hot Summer Day
If you are looking for an easy, affordable, and super tasty recipe, you have come to the right place. It only takes $10 for ingredients ($20 total if you include supplies), and two simple steps to create this rainbow popsicle recipe — and then an additional two seconds to devour these whole. Yup, I think it is pretty safe to say that these popsicles are your new favorite treat of summer.
Although they give off a super creative and artsy vibe, these popsicles are realistically very simple to create. It is a super fun summertime DIY project that is definitely Instagram-worthy, and definitely delicious. (I love arts and crafts you can eat, don't you?) Bring out the artist in you, and pour different colored juices into a popsicle mold to create the illusion of either a striped or watercolor popsicle. If you want more defined, solid stripes, leave the popsicles in the freezer for longer periods of time in between steps (roughly four hours seems to work best). If you want to create a snazzy watercolor effect, just follow the simple steps below. And not to worry — no matter how your popsicles end up looking, they are still guaranteed to taste great.
- Multiple different colored juices (I used blue raspberry, strawberry lemonade, and pineapple)
- Popsicle molds and sticks
1. Pour your desired amount of one flavor of juice into the bottom of your molds. For tons of layers, pour in smaller amounts of juice, and vice versa. Freeze for two hours.
2. Repeat step one (make sure layer one is completely frozen!) with another flavor of juice. Freeze for another two hours, and then repeat until the mold is full. Enjoy!
