We still have a few weeks of summer left, but some people are already eager to break out the fall fashion. According to The Daily Mail, Kirsten Dunst attended a Sleeping With Other People screening and showed us just how to transition from summer to fall fashion. There's a serious art to dressing like it's autumn when it's still SO hot outside.

According to Us Weekly, the 33-year-old actress stepped out for the Monday night screening in West Hollywood and decided to put away her summer brights in favor of all-black separates. Dunst wore a black leather A-line skirt with a geometric pattern and a black mesh blouse. She paired her outfit with, what else, classic black pumps and wore her hair in loose, beachy waves with a deep side part.

It's basically the perfect solution for transitioning between seasons. While some people get overenthusiastic with their fall fashion and try to pull off over-the-knee boots and chunky sweaters in the humid September weather (guilty), Kirsten's look lets you channel fall without defying the weather. You get your darks in there, but a mesh top is certainly more breathable than a sweater, and just skip the tights and keep bare legs until the air turns a little more crisp. It's a win-win.

Bonus: wear your hair in beachy waves. No one can argue you aren't still summer-appropriate.

Here's a few ways to steal Kirsten's look:

2. A Leather Skirt
