Guys Try Peeing While Sitting Down For A Week

by Kat George

One of the most talked about differences between men and women is peeing style, so BuzzFeed obviously had a bunch of guys pee sitting down for a week. It's a good a way as any to bridge the gender divide: have everyone see what it feels like to urinate the way the other sex does. Which means the next logical step for BuzzFeed is a "women pee standing up for a week" post (any volunteers?). Most of the guys in the video are pretty trepidatious about peeing sitting down, citing issues like back splash, the guy before you's poor aim, and not enough room in the front of the bowl as reasons why men don't pee sitting down. To be honest, all those reasons seem really fair and legitimate. And here I was thinking they just wanted to play crossed swords.

The guys had mixed reactions to peeing sitting down, and again, I don't blame them. It must be weird to break a physical and necessary habit you've had nearly your whole life. And the bathroom isn't really the place you want to face discomfort head on. Everyone should be able to use the most comfortable method of relieving themselves, in the privacy of a bathroom, as they please, and with impunity. Here's some of the reactions to the sitting pee challenge:

1. Pleasure

2. A Pavlovian Urge

3. Unconvincing Fineness

4. Anxiety At Parties

5. Supreme Comfort

Watch the whole thing below, and see how the guys reflected on their week of sitting:
