John Stamos Charged With DUI

On Thursday, E! News reported that Fuller House and Grandfathered actor John Stamos has been charged with a DUI. According to the Los Angeles District Attorney, Stamos has been charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs, after his June arrest for a DUI in Beverly Hills, which also put the actor in the hospital.

(Update: Stamos' rep declined to comment on the charge and drug claims.)

Sources who spoke with TMZ claim that GHB, colloquially known as "the date rape drug," was found in his system. According to TMZ sources, he was allegedly taking the drug as a "fitness supplement" in addition to another non-narcotic drug. Stamos is facing a maximum of six months in jail, but TMZ reports that probably won't happen, seeing as, if he was convicted, he would be a first time offender and would likely be sentenced to probation.

Soon after his arrest in June, Stamos took to Twitter and shared, "Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I'm home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care." Then, in July, the Full House alum reportedly entered rehab, where he was allegedly seeking treatment for substance abuse. E! News reported that he was in rehab for one month.

After reportedly leaving rehab, he once again took to Twitter and said, "I’m back! Took a month to take care of things. Healthy. Feeling grateful for the love & support of family & friends."

Regarding the most recent charges, Stamos hasn't yet commented. Bustle has reached out to his rep for comment on the charge and the drug claims by TMZ, but has not yet heard back.
