15 Chocolatey Breakfasts That Double As Dessert

by Rebecca Deczynski

We’ve come to accept that sometimes, the best thing to do in life is to have dessert first. And by that, we mean that we seriously cannot get enough chocolate breakfast recipes. We know that eating something in the morning is important, because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but no one ever told us that we couldn’t make it even better with some extra chocolatey goodness.

While sometimes the easiest thing to do in the morning is to grab a granola bar and run, having enough fancy breakfast recipes on-hand gives us motivation to actually get out of bed and put together a proper meal. And when those recipes result in chocolate dishes, then of course you know that we’re going to be less prone to hitting the snooze button a million times. We may not be able to down a Hershey’s bar first thing in the a.m., but give us chocolate pancakes or waffles, and we are so there.

But straying from your Cocoa Puffs and making a chocolatey breakfast from scratch doesn’t need to be hard, either. Try making chocolate muffins at night, or freezing them ahead of time. Or, whip up your own chocolatey bars that you can down in a hurry. Whether you need breakfast to help you streamline your morning, or you need it to add some decadence to your table, these 15 chocolate-filled recipes will not let you down.
