Givenchy's Upcoming Ad Campaign Is All About Love

by Marc Cuenco

In a series of photos posted on the label's Instagram, Riccardo Tisci teased Givenchy's spring 2016 campaign and it's filled with an all-star lineup of models that rivals that of the Balmain Army. The Italian designer introduced the large and diverse cast of the upcoming ad campaign and dubbed them as the "Love Gang." The 16 models featured in the campaign include Miranda Kerr, Joan Smalls, Lara Stone, and Candice Swanepoel. (Both Smalls and Swanepoel recently walked the runway at the 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that will air on Dec. 8.)

"On set with my dream team, together we are a love gang, living thru love always," Tisci said. The campaign isn't the first time that the designer has asked his famous friends to appear alongside him to represent the brand. Earlier this year, Kanye West, Jessica Chastain, and Kendall Jenner were inducted into the Givenchy Gang via the cover of Vogue Japan.

“I have always looked for personality first in the people I work with," Tisci said. "You may think this is a cast of famous models, but to me it is a family, a gang of friends that have been an important part of this past decade for us at Givenchy, and mostly, that will continue to be.”

While the teaser photo for Givenchy's upcoming ads doesn't reveal much, the message of a "Love Gang" behind the campaign speaks volumes, especially during these difficult times when love and peace is needed most.
